Kate Henderson, Language Arts, Reading, Social Studies, and Bible

This is Kate's third year at Fairview, and eighth year teaching. She has a BA in Christian Ministries from Grove City College (PA) and an M.S.Ed. in Elementary/Reading from Duquesne University (PA.) She enjoys spending time with friends, building relationships with English language learners, hiking, camping, jogging, photography, reading, trying new recipes, and laughing. Her impression of Fairview is that there is a supportive spirit among the staff, students, and families, and that it is a place where all can grow and be nurtured in the love of Christ. Some of her favorite Bible passages are: John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." and Philippians 4:11,13 "Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content...I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Sharilee West, Science, Math, Social Studies, and Bible

This is Sharilee's 17th year at Fairview, and her 31st year teaching. She has a BA in Education and an M.Ed. from Seattle Pacific University. She loves playing with her grandchildren, spending time with her husband, and working on the computer. Her favorite things about being a part of Fairview are her room with a view, the family atmosphere, the great kids, and the super staff. She also loves being able to teach, especially Science, from God's perspective. One of her favorite Bible passages is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
