1. Have Life to the Full

Throughout the Bible, God expresses his desire for us to lead a rich and vibrant life, to experience true peace, to have "Life to the Full". Jesus described his mission in exactly these terms: "My purpose is to give life in all its fullness" (John 10:10). We pursue this mission at The Mix! through a variety of programs and events.

2. We welcome people

From the very beginning, we have felt called by God to be an accepting, welcoming community. Whatever your background, wherever you are in your spiritual journey, we hope you will feel accepted and loved as you progress in your spiritual journey.

3. Dynamic Christian community

For us, a youth group/church is more than services and programs. At heart, it is a community of people. At Fairview, we want our community to be dynamic and alive, not static or stagnant, and so we value and encourage innovation, creativity, freedom, thought, dialogue, diversity, and lifelong spiritual exploration and growth. And we are unapologetically a Christian community, rooted in the historic Christian faith, guided by the Bible, and learning to be vibrant followers of Jesus Christ.

4. To connect — with God

The story of the Bible is the story of God passionately pursuing a personal connection with each of us. We want to set aside time and space to explore, enter, and deepen this connection with God. We want every person to experience an authentic personal relationship with God, a relationship that leads to "life to the full."

5. To connect — with one another

In our hectic world, people often feel disconnected from one another. We believe that this loss of community causes us all to miss out on the rich, meaningful and caring relationships that God wants us to enjoy with one another. That’s why we invest time and energy in developing deepening relationships with one another through small groups, social activities, and projects and ministries carried out in teams. We want to help people connect across racial, educational, cultural, and generational lines, to experience genuine friendship.

6. To connect — with opportunities to make a difference in our changing world.

We want to share Jesus’ message of hope with the world through word and action. We don’t want to exist for our own spiritual enrichment alone or to isolate ourselves from the needy world around us. We want to make a difference in our world with Christ’s love in several ways — through our friendships, our compassionate action, and through our communicating of God’s message in a relevant and authentic way.
