2007-2008 Bible Memory Award

A great scripture memory verse memorization program has been installed on the computers in the Fairview computer lab. All the Bible Memory Award verses have been added as well as some teacher's memory assignments. (If your teacher doesn't have them installed, ask them why not!)

Additionally, you can download this program and install it on your home computer from MemoryVerses.Org.

You can get our memory cards here (coming soon!). Just unzip them into the Scripture Memory install folder. (If you need help, e-mail kevint@fcsseattle.org).

The Bible award is for the memorization of Scripture passages above and beyond those assigned in the classroom.

These verses have been chosen to align with this year's theme and special recognition is given to those students who memorize the monthly verse selections and then are able to recite all of them in their entirety prior to the end of the month of May. All passages are taken from the New International Version of the Bible.

Each month's verse(s) will be posted here and all of the verses are available as PDF files at the bottom of the page.

 

September 2007 Memory Verses

Kindergarten through 2nd Grade

Genesis 22:14 - So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."

3rd through 8th grade

Genesis 22:7,8,13,14: Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together.

Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called that place The lORD Will provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."

2006-2007 Bible Memory Award Winners

This is a very special award and few kids are persistant enough to work thoughout the year to learn all of these verses. Not only learning them each month, but retaining that memory and successfully saying every one of them again at the end of the year. A very special congratulations to these students!
